Summary 

The Taiwan Tuberculosis Control Report 2007 presents statistics on case notifications, incidence, outcomes of treatments, and the estimated severity of tuberculosis for various cities and counties of Taiwan. Tuberculosis cases in the report refer to confirmed cases only to allow a standardized basis for cross-national comparison. The report is based on data collected by CDC Taiwan from 372 health facilities in 25 cities/counties. Case definitions and surveillance indicators are based on WHO standards.
