Summary 

The purpose of the survey was to collect baseline data for tracking the implementation of the Aids, Population and Health Integrated Assistance (APHIA) II project. This BSS tracked trends in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior among vulnerable sub-populations concerning HIV/AIDS, other STDs/STIs, reproductive health, family planning, and malaria. The specific sub-populations tracked included in-school and out-of-school youth, men in work sites, the police, matatu crews comprising drivers and touts, truck drivers, female sex workers, and females in households in low-income settings.
