In addition to basic demographic information, this survey collected information about education, employment, marriage and fertility, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, gender-based violence, female circumcision, chronic diseases, and mortality. Questionnaires were completed for households, ever-married women, never-married women, and maternal mortality. Interviews were conducted with a total of 15,761 households and 16,715 women (11,884 ever-married, and 4,831 never-married). While it was based on the content and methodology of a DHS, this survey was planned and carried out independent of the macro DHS series.
