Summary 

The Syria Statistical Yearbook is an annual publication of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and may be available for download on the CBS website. The yearbook contains a comprehensive collection of statistical data for the various activities of the government agencies. The chapters contain information on: climate, population, labor, industry, transportation and communications, import and export trade, finance and banking, education, and health.

 

The report contains basic health indicator data such as population and number of doctors and hospitals for the year 2009. Additional tabulations provide numbers for inpatients and outpatients patients from Ministry of Health hospitals from 2004 to 2009. The number of registered births and deaths are listed by sex and region for the year 2009.
