This statistical report collects information from provincial health centers to be published by the national ministry of health.
There's an organizational chart documenting how the medical system is administered from the national to provincial level, the legislation regulating provision of services, and the duties and responsibilities of administrators. Also included are research studies conducted (without published results), health literacy materials produced (tv spots, posters, brochures), books and reports published, and details of funded programs and projects.
Programs funded at the health center level (serving communities of between 5,000 and 10,000 people) include: maternal and child health care, malaria eradication, family planning, immunizations, polio eradication, health literacy, and environmental health services. Tabular data is presented by province for prevalence of diseases throughout the country.
