Summary
The 1997 Netherlands Licit and Illicit Drug Use Survey investigated drug use and lifestyle habits among the 12 years and older population in the country. Data were collected from 21,959 individuals through face-to-face interviews using questionnaires. The sample was nationally representative, covering all persons in the Municipal Population Registry of the Netherlands.
