Human Rights Watch, an international non-governmental organization that conducts regular research of human rights abuses around the globe, performed an extensive investigation into civilian casualities that occurred as a result of the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. It reports its findings in this 249-page work. The organization, over five months of research, visited over 50 Lebanese villages and interviewed 316 victims and eyewitnesses, along with 39 military experts, journalists, and officials from Israel, Lebanon, and Hezbollah.
