Summary
The Spot Survey on Tobacco Trends, in use since 1998, is a biannual survey that monitors and identifies the prevailing trends, patterns, and attitudes related to tobacco and tobacco use.
The July 2012 survey focused on the following districts: Colombo, Gampaha, Galle, Kegalle, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Kandy, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee. The survey was conducted in July 2012 and covered a total number of 2,532 male respondents ages 15 and above.
The report is titled Spot Survey July 2012. It features a comparative analysis of the results from July 2012 with those of July 2011 and a chart comparison of tobacco use trends results from July 2000 to July 2012.
