Summary
The Angola Demographic and Health Survey 2015-2016, also known as the Angola Survey of Multiple Indicators and Health (Inquérito de Indicadores Múltiplos e de Saúde (IIMS)) 2015-2016, is part of phase 7 of the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) series, and phase 5 or the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surey (MICS) series. Topics commonly covered in DHS and MICS include: child and maternal health, family planning, nutrition, health behaviors, health care access, health care use, and immunization. For the 2015-2016 Angola DHS, 14,379 women ages 15-49 and 5,684 men ages 15-59 were successfully interviewed from 16,109 households. Blood tests were conducted on all consenting respondents for the presence of malaria, anemia and HIV infection.
