Summary
The 2004 Netmark Household Survey measured the changes in use and knowledge of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) since the baseline survey in 2000.
The 2004 survey sample included women of reproductive age (15-49 years old) who were caring for a child under age five in 2,000 Zambian households. The survey included households in urban and rural areas from five sites: Lusaka, Kitwe, Mansa, Choma, and Kaoma.
The final report compared the results of ownership and knowledge of ITNs and usage. In addition to bednets, the survey covered insecticide use, indoor residual spraying, and information on knowledge of malaria.
