Summary
The Global Analysis of Vulnerability, Food Security, and Nutrition Survey was conducted following flooding in 2007 that affected the agriculture-based economy of Benin. Data was collected on household food security, the underlying causes of food and nutritional insecurity, and the nutritional status of women and children.
Questionnaires were administered to 4,176 households, and anthropometric measurements were taken for children ages 6-59 months and women ages 15-49 years. A second questionnaire was used for community groups of at least seven participants.
