Summary
TheĀ WHO Cholera Annual Report is a compilation of the weekly epidemiological records for the year. In 2005, cholera cases caused by Vibrio cholerae have been reported from 52 countries in all regions of the world. Report tabulations are broken down by region and country and display total number of cases, number of imported cases, number of deaths, and the case fatality rate.
Many cases from outbreaks in central Asia have been reported as "acute watery diarrhoea" and are thus not reflected in the number of officially notified cases.
