Summary

The Angola 2006-2007 MIS used a sample of 2,809 selected households designed to provide information from around 3,000 women ages 15-49 years (3,136 eligible women were identified, of whom 95 percent were successfully interviewed), and at least 2,000 children under age five. The sample was representative for the country as a whole, for urban and rural areas, and for regions corresponding to varying malaria prevalence. Topics included were water and sanitation, household assets, insecticide spraying, mosquito nets, maternal education, and a verbal autopsy for infant mortality and child mortality. The survey included a hemoglobin test and a malaria test.
