As of 2009, the system covers 400 out of 7,200 private facilities (6%) and 5,500 out of 7,700 public facilities (70%). In 2009, 5,828 facilities reported to the system. The report provides case numbers and rates of notification for notifiable diseases by province. Standardized morbidity ratios and confidence intervals are also included in the tables. In addition to numbers from 2009, data from 2008 are provided to allow comparison between years. Sections on injuries, gastroenteric diseases, dermatological diseases, chemical poisonings, viral hepatitis, zoonotic and vector diseases, STDs, leprosy, Meningoencephalitis, respiratory illnesses, and H1N1 provide additional information and analysis.
