Summary

The 2008 Argentina National Survey on Consumption Prevalence of Psychoactive Substances (EnPreCoSP) collected data to measure the use of legal and illegal psychoactive substances in the population between the ages of 12 and 65 years old. Localities throughout the country containing 80,000 inhabitants or more were used in the sample, and a total of 12,589 surveys were completed. The sampling methodology was not designed with information from the 2010 census, but the 2001 census. However, the preliminary results of the 2010 census were used to correct weights of the survey sampling. Data were collected in face-to-face interviews and questionnaires with the condition of anonymity. Questionnaires also included individuals between 12 and 17 years of age not enrolled in school to form an independent sample for further risk analysis.
