Wave 1.5 of the Australia Growing Up Survey followed two cohorts of 5000 children each. Successive waves of this survey will follow cohorts through adulthood. Suvey respondents included parents only. Questions covered topics such as child's development, major events in parents' life (such as birth of another child, death of friends or relatives, serious illness or injury, and unemployment), paid and unpaid parental leave, hours worked per week, and any work-related problems caused by pregnancy with study child. The cohort B questionnaire included questions that were part of the nested study "The Parental Leave in Australia Survey."
