Summary

Wave 2.5 of the Australia Longitudinal Study of Children followed two cohorts of 5000 children each. Successive waves of this survey will follow cohorts through adulthood. Survey respondents included parents or other individuals. Questions covered topics such as life-changing events, hours worked per week, child support payments, child's mobile phone use, and parent-child interactions. Data were also collected on the amount of time children spent watching TV, using a computer, being read to, or playing with electronic game systems.
