Australia Vital Registration - Deaths 2014

This dataset contains mortality statistics for Australia and each state and territory from 2004 to 2014. Data are based on death certificates collected by the state and territory Registrars of Births, Deaths, and Marriages. Numbers of annual deaths exclude still births.

In each table, total deaths are broken down by sex and 5-year age group. They also cover number of infant deaths by sex, and number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander deaths by sex. In addition to these statistics, the Australian Bureau of Statistics provides tabulations on Causes of Death and Perinatal Deaths.
