The Austrian survey was based on the European Health Survey modules. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews using CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing), and self-completed questionnaires. The topics covered included population health status, health determinants, health care use and access, and sociodemographic information. Interviews were completed with 15,474 individuals ages 15 and above that were sampled from the Central Register.
