Summary 

The Bangladesh Urban Health Survey 2006 is a sample survey of health problems and health-care seeking behavior in urban areas. The survey used a multi-stage sampling scheme and the sample frame was developed by the 2005 Census and Mapping of Slums. Interviews were conducted in slum and non-slum areas of six cities. Three questionnaires were utilized for households, individuals, and community leaders. In total, 28,006 individuals responded to the adult questionnaire. Blood pressure measurements and blood tests were administered to some of the respondents. Topics of the survey included family planning, child health, nutrition, migration, mental health, domestic violence, health care access and tobacco and drug use.
