Summary

The Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) is a multi-country longitudinal study of aging in Europe. Wave 5 took place entirely in 2013. It included a main questionnaire that included modules on health status and behaviors, self-reported height and weight, mental health, economic status, social support, and an end of life questionnaire for respondents who had died. New modules added in Wave 5 collected information on social exclusion, early childhood conditions, and computer utilization at work.

Further information on SHARE survey methodology is available on the SHARE website.
