Central African Republic National Survey on Vitamin A Deficiency, Iron Deficiency and the Consumption of Iodized Salt 1998-1999

The Central African Republic National Survey on Vitamin A Deficiency, Iron Deficiency and the Consumption of Iodized Salt 1998-1999 collected information on the prevalence of Vitamin A deficiency and iron deficiency in children aged 6-36 months and women aged 15-49 years, and iodized salt consumption. The survey was conducted in Bangui and five health regions consisting of both urban and rural areas. Questionnaires used to collect data covered topics such as demographic characteristics and household identifiers. The women's module contained questions on blood sampling, sociocultural characteristics, fertility, and lactation. The children's module was comprised of identification variables, blood sampling, health, diet, and breastfeeding.
