They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The enumeration day for the 1951 census was May 9. Some areas of the country, representing approximately 1.7% of the population, were not enumerated. The population for these unenumerated areas were estimated using the method of geometric growth of population. Data were gathered on topics of household demographics, employment, place of birth, and education. Questions on unemployment and income were included in the schedule, but the data were not released.
