Summary 

The 2011 Equatorial Guinea DHS (referred to in some places as the EDSGE-I) was conducted as part of Phase 6 of the DHS survey series. A total household sample size of 5,000 was used. A total of 5,000 women between the age of 15 and 49 years, and 2,500 men between the age of 15-59 years were included in the sample. A total of 3,575 women and 1,825 men were enumerated.

Blood samples were taken for malaria and anemia testing from children between the age of 6 and 59 months. Men and women respondents were also eligible for HIV testing.
