Participants were chosen using two-stage stratified random sampling, and interviewed at over 500 study centers throughout Germany. Survey instruments included dietary history interviews and 24-hour dietary recalls. General health behavior and sociodemographic information was obtained through a computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI). Report tables are broken down by sex and 5–15-year age groups.
