Summary

The International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) represents a series of cross-national collaborations between organizations conducting similar social science research. ISSP researchers focus on developing survey questions that are relevant and comprehensible in all countries and languages, with survey results that are comparable across nations.

The Environment IV study covers topics including feelings about climate, pollution, pesticides, nuclear power stations, the importance and cost of protecting the environment, as well as questions about health care, education, crime, immigration, the economy, terrorism, government, poverty, and trust in: university research centers, the news media, business and industry, and Parliament.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Environment IV survey of Great Britain was conducted online, which meant certain essential background variables could not be collected; therefore it was not integrated into the international results for the Environment IV study.
