Summary 

The Haiti Demographic and Health Survey 2012 was conducted as part of phase 6 of the DHS series, a comprehensive, nationally representative household survey. The Haiti Child Health Insititute collected data from January to June and completed interviews for 13,181 households. Interviews were successfully completed for 14,287 women and 9,493 men.

The questionnaire included questions on household characteristics, education, health, nutrition, family planning, and knowledge of HIV/AIDS. A sub-sample of the people surveyed were tested for anemia and HIV.
