Summary

Since its inception in 1963, the Indonesian National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) has been a major source of data on social welfare of the Indonesian population. Since 1992, the survey has been divided into a core that covers basic socioeconomic characteristics of households and household members, and modules that cover special topics such as consumption, household income, household welfare, tourism, crime, nutrition, housing, etc. In 2003, SUSENAS added a panel segment to the survey. For 2015, the conduction of the survey changed from quarterly to twice a year. The survey was conducted in March and September of 2015.

In March 2015, a core survey and a module survey were carried out. The sample size for this was 300,000 households. In September 2015, a module survey on household demographics and household expenditure was conducted. The sample size for September was 75,000 households.
