Summary 

Since 1989 the Survey of Household Income and Wealth (SHIW) has included a panel portion. For the 2009 survey 7,977 households were interviewed throughout the 359 municipalities of Italy with a focus on the topics of perceived well being, methods of payment and financial information. Although the survey was conducted in 2009, the questions pertained to household activities and conditions in 2008.
