Summary 

The 2017 survey was conducted in November, and collected data on health status, physical activity, nutrition, and food intake of the Japanese population. For this year, data on the health status of elderly adults were also collected including muscle mass and diet.

Before 2003, the National Health and Nutrition Survey was known as the National Nutrition Survey.
