Summary 

The purpose of the survey was to provide information on the types of domestic violence women are exposed to, its frequency, and the effect on their health.

Women ages 15 and over seeking preventative and curative medical attention were asked to participate in the study, and interviews were conducted in a clinic. A sample size of 26,240 was established and 26,042 interviews were completed.
