The report for the survey includes tabulations for water supply, contraceptives, sexual behavior, education, HIV literacy, and population. The survey used three questionnaires: one for women ages 15-50, one for men ages 15-50, and one for the household. The survey used an original sample of 10,004 households based on the 2000 census sampling frame; from the originally selected households, 9,017 households, 10,353 women and 10,077 men were successfully interviewed. The 2006-2007 DHS was the second DHS conducted in Papua New Guinea; the first was conducted in 1996.
