Summary 

The Updating Survey of Nutritional Status is conducted in the mid-year between National Nutrition Surveys (NNS), which are conducted every five years. The purpose of this survey was to collect data on the nutritional situation of Filipinos, with a focus on children and mothers. This study also investigated the use of health and nutrition targeted government programs. This study was conducted in all regions in the country.

Data were collected through interviews and anthropometric measurements. The interviews investigated maternal nutritional status, infant and child feeding, food security, government program use, and household socioeconomics. Measurements of height and weight were recorded for all household members. Waist and hip measurements were also taken from adults aged 20 years and older.

The sample size for this survey was 38,894 households and 198,022 individuals.
