Summary 

The Sierra Leone 2010 MICS was part of Round 4 of the survey series. Topics covered include child mortality, nutrition, child health, sanitation, reproductive health, child development, literacy, education, and child protection.

The survey was conducted in all districts, and sample weights were used to provide national and regional results. A total of three questionnaires were used: one for households; one for women between the ages of 15 and 49 years; and a questionnaire for children completed by mothers or caregivers.

A total of 11,394 households were interviewed, and 12,359 women completed the interview. A total of 8,600 questionnaires were completed on behalf of children under the age of five years.
