Uganda Population and Housing Census 1959

Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well.

The enumeration of African and non-African populations were enumerated separately, the former in August, and the latter in March.
