Cancer Mortality in Scotland 2015 summarizes and tabulates the number of cancer deaths reported to National Services Scotland (NHS) and the National Records of Scotland (NRS) for 2015. Tables cover registered cancer deaths from 1990 to 2015.

Also presented are cancer mortality rates, cancer prevalence and incidence, the lifetime risk for cancer by cancer type, and one- and five-year survival rates after being diagnosed with cancer.

For 2015, there were a total of 16,011 (8,321 male and 7,690 female) cancer deaths in Scotland. Cancers of the trachea, bronchus and lung were the most common cause of cancer for both genders, resulting in 4,047 deaths in 2015.
