The NSDUH collects data throughout the year on the use of tobacco, alcohol, illicit drugs, and other substances, substance use disorders and treatment, and mental health disorders and treatment among those ages 12 and older. 67.679 interviews were completed for the 2023 survey, 14,305 of which were completed by adolescents ages 12 to 17 and 53,374 of which were completed by adults 18 and older. 36.1% of interviews were completed via the web and 63.9% were completed in person.
