USSR - Estonia Population and Housing Census 1959

Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well.

The 1959 USSR census was de facto in conduct and results, however, the de jure population was cited in city totals. As one of the fifteen Union Republics, Estonia was one of the territorial divisions for this census.
