Summary 

Part of MICS4, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women, covering health, education, child protection and HIV/AIDS; it includes vaccination, contraceptive use and symptoms like diarrhea, cough and fever. The 2010-2011 Vietnam MICS included testing for iodine in salt and anthropometric measurements for children under 5. The survey included questions about bednets and spraying, but did not include malaria testing. Of the 12,000 households selected for the survey, successful interviews were completed for 11,614, a response rate of 99.8 percent. For the women's module, 12,115 women ages 15-49 were interviewed, and interviews for 3,678 children were completed.
