This series of hospital inpatient discharge data includes subnational code of hospitalization place, age in years (of days if <1year), sex, formal education level, citizenship (Italian or foreign), subnational residence, type of hospitalization (acutes, rehabs…), regular hospitalization or day hospital, duration (days), type of discharge, origin of patient (type of institution or home), reason for day hospital, traumas or intoxications, diagnoses at discharge, interventions, type of institute, DRG grouper, MDC grouper, birthweight for newborns, and code of external cause.
