Summary

The German Environmental Survey for Children (GerES IV) was conducted in coordination with the Germany National Health Interview and Examination Survey for Children and Adolescents (KiGGS 2003-2006); a random subsample of the KiGGS was selected to participate in the Environmental Survey, in which environmental measurements were collected through tests of blood, urine, and drinking water. The sample consisted of 1790 children aged 3 to 14 years, living in 150 sampling locations across Germany.
