For the Fourth Malawi Integrated Household Survey 2016-2017 (IHS4), 12,447 households were selected for interview from 779 enumeration areas. A subsample of respondents from the IHS4 were included in the Malawi Integrated Household Panel Survey (IHPS) Long-Term Panel 2016 survey. Topics covered in the 2016-2017 IHS4 include: education, employment, income, assets, family fishing and farming businesses, housing conditions, household and business expenditures, shocks, health conditions, and food consumption.
